Arc Raiders “A Better Use” quest is pretty straightforward on paper—you just need to call in a Supply Drop, grab whatever lands, and extract—but in practice it introduces a lot of the game’s early risk-and-reward decision-making.

Tian Wen in Speranza gives it to you fairly early, and even though it doesn’t demand heavy fighting, it does test how well you can move around a map, keep track of surroundings, and avoid drawing too much attention ARC Raiders Boosting. Finishing it gets you a few helpful early attachments like an Extended Light Mag I, Stable Stock I, and Muzzle Brake II, all of which make the starter weapons feel less clunky in future runs.

Most players end up running it on Dam Battlegrounds because that map simply has more Call Station spawns and it’s easy to see what’s happening around you. Everything feels a bit more predictable there, from the open sightlines to the extraction options. Buried City and Space Port can work too, but they tend to funnel players together in tight spaces, which is the last thing you want when a bright flare is about to give away your location. Bring a cheap loadout so you don’t mind losing it, something quiet if possible, and a movement tool to help you reposition quickly if the situation gets messy.

Once you drop in, make a beeline for the usual Call Station areas. On Dam Battlegrounds, spots like the swamp to the west, the area near the power complex, or the water treatment side are worth checking first. You have to get close before an active station shows up on your HUD, so it’s better to keep moving rather than waiting around. If one isn’t active, head to the next immediately—time is usually more important than trying to clear every enemy on the way.

Triggering a Call Station sets off a loud flare that every player can see, and this is where the quest can turn chaotic. The Supply Drop takes a minute or two to arrive, and that waiting period is the dangerous part. Find cover with a good view of the sky and nearby paths, and try not to fire unless you absolutely need to. Crates don’t always land right next to the tower—they can fall a good distance away—so keep an eye out once you hear the parachute.

When the crate hits the ground, get to it quickly, grab the loot, and don’t stick around longer than necessary. You only need to loot it once for the quest to count, so there’s no reason to empty it if things are getting crowded ARC Raiders Coins. If you hear gunfire or footsteps, it’s often smarter to back off, reposition, or even run straight for extraction rather than take a fight over a single drop.

After looting, head immediately to the nearest extraction point. Quiet hatches with key access are obviously safer if you have one, but the open extracts on Dam Battlegrounds are usually manageable as long as you didn’t linger too long after the drop. Once you make it out, the quest finishes automatically when you get back to Tian Wen.

Doing this quest a few times helps you get a feel for how Supply Drops work in general, and before long you’ll be running the same loop to farm better gear and materials. The attachments you earn from it are genuinely useful early on, especially once you start crafting and building more specialized kits in Speranza. It’s a small quest, but it teaches a lot of habits that pay off in tougher raids later.
